Before Sharpsburg
In 1860 he was a married 26 year old farmer in Rehoboth, Wilcox County, AL. He enlisted at Pine Apple, AL as a Private in Company C, 44th Alabama Infantry on 28 April 1862. He transferred to Company I on 1 September 1862.
On the Campaign
He was killed in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
His widow Lucy Ann filed for his final pay of $75.33 in February 1863.
