Before Antietam
A 29 year old carpenter in Claremont, NH, he enlisted on 29 July 1862 and mustered as Private, Company G, 9th New Hampshire Infantry on 13 August in Claremont.
On the Campaign
He was mortally wounded in the abdomen in action at Antietam on 17 September 1862 and died the next day.
