He was listed as missing in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He transferred to Company F, 4th Georgia Cavalry on 5 February 1864 and was with them at least through June 1864, the last Company roll.

After the War

By 1870 he was living in the Limesink District, Decatur County and was in Mitchell County by 1880.
