Before Sharpsburg
From Twiggs County, he enlisted as Private, Company I, 6th Georgia Infantry on 27 May 1861. He was wounded at Cold Harbor, VA on 27 June 1862.
On the Campaign
He was listed as missing in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was wounded at Chancellorsville, VA on 2 May 1863. He was admitted to a hospital in Macon, GA on 2 December 1863, place of wounding not given. He was detailed to the hospital there, with no later record.
