From Baldwin County, he mustered as Private, Company H, 4th Georgia Infantry on 14 May 1862.

On the Campaign

He was wounded in the leg and slightly in the arm in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was wounded again and disabled at Gettysburg, PA on 2 July 1863. As late as August 1864 he was listed as home on wounded furlough, with no further record.

After the War

He was living in Jewell, GA in 1903.
