On the Campaign
He was wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was wounded again, at Weldon Railroad, VA on 18 August 1864. He was paroled in Grenada, MS on 18 May 1865.
After the War
He was a farmer in Lafayette County until 1883, when he moved to Franklin County, AR. He lived in Ozark, AK by 1901.
