He was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant, date not given. He was wounded again and captured, at Gettysburg, PA on 3 July 1863. He was held at Johnson's Island, OH and was released on taking the oath of allegiance there on 15 June 1865.

After the War

he lived in Aberdeen, MS.
