He was probably wounded in action and captured at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was briefly at a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD from 15 to 16 October 1862.

After the War

By 1900 he was an election commissioner in Tishomingo, MS.
