On the Campaign

He was wounded by gunshot and captured in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was briefly at a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD from 15-16 October 1862. He was captured in action (date and place unknown) and died while a prisoner at Rock Island, IL on 5 April 1864.
