More on the Web

Service information from the State of Maryland.1 Stotelmyer's The Bivouacs of the Dead (via the Historical Data Systems database) has him wounded at Antietam on 17 September, which is possible, but seems unlikely given the regiment was surrendered with the rest of the Harpers Ferry garrison on 15 September. His gravesite is on Findagrave.

01/16/1863; Boonsboro, MD; burial in Antietam National Cemetery, Sharpsburg, MD
