On the Campaign

He was wounded in action at Antietam on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was wounded again, at Gettysburg, PA on 2 July 1863. He reenlisted on 29 December 1863 and was captured at Spotsylvania, VA on 12 May 1864. He was transferred to Company K and was discharged 12 June 1865.
