He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.
The rest of the War
He was captured in action near Petersburg, VA on 22 June 1864 and held as a prisoner of war to 28 April 1865. He was transferred to Company F, date not given, and was discharged on 31 May 1865.
