Before Antietam
He enlisted as Private in Company K, 106th Pennsylvania Infantry on 28 August 1861.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.
The rest of the War
He was wounded at Fredericksburg, VA on 13 December 1862. He reenlisted on 29 December 1863 and mustered out with his Company on 30 June 1865.
