He was wounded by gunshot to the hand in Maryland in September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was treated at a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD from 17 September to 25 September 1862, then sent on to Washington, DC. He was discharged for wounds, date not given. He died - place and cause unknown - on 2 February 1863.
