Before Antietam
He mustered into service as Private, Company F, 111th Pennsylvania Infantry on 30 November 1861.
On the Campaign
He was wounded by gunshot to the hand in Maryland in September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was treated at a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD from 17 September to 25 September 1862, then sent on to Washington, DC. He was discharged for wounds, date not given. He died - place and cause unknown - on 2 February 1863.
