On the Campaign

He was captured in action on South Mountain, MD on 14 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was held at Fort Delaware until exchanged on 10 November 1862. He was captured again, at Gettysburg, PA on 1 July 1863 and sent back to Fort Delaware. He died there on 2 May 1865.
