The rest of the War
He was furloughed and returned to duty. He was admitted to a hospital in Richmond, VA on 13 June 1864 for a gunshot wound, place of wounding not given. He was furloughed for 60 days beginning 2 July but did not stay away that long. He was killed at the Weldon Railroad, VA on 19 August 1864.
