On the Campaign

He is on the Confederate Roll of Honor (CSA General Orders No. 87, 10 December 1864) for bravery at "Boonsborough" (Fox's Gap on South Mountain), MD on 14 September.

The rest of the War

He was captured in action at Gettysburg on 1 July 1863. He was promoted to 4th Sergeant, date not given, and killed at Bristoe Station, VA on 14 October 1863.
