He was admitted to the Chimborazo Hospital in Richmond, VA on 28 September 1862 and furloughed for 30 days on 4 October. He returned to duty, date not given. He was listed as a deserter to the enemy at Morton's Ford, VA on 8 March 1864 and was a Federal prisoner in Washington, DC by 10 March, with no further record.
