Nathaniel Duff

He mustered as Private, Company H, 37th Virginia Infantry on 24 July 1861 in Abingdon, VA.

He was severely wounded in the right arm and shoulder in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

He was admitted to the Chimborazo Hospital in Richmond, VA on 28 September 1862 and furloughed for 30 days on 4 October. He returned to duty, date not given. He was listed as a deserter to the enemy at Morton's Ford, VA on 8 March 1864 and was a Federal prisoner in Washington, DC by 10 March, with no further record.
