His service from a Company Roll from the Confederate Rolls of South Carolina,1 which says he was killed at Sharpsburg, and from William Guerry Felder's Soldiers from Kershaw County (2016), citing his Compiled Service Records. Thanks to Barry Truluck for the pointer to Barwick.
