On the Campaign
He was wounded and captured in action at Fox's Gap on South Mountain, MD on 14 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was treated at Camden Hospital, Baltimore, MD and exchanged on 5 November 1862. He was sick in Richmond hospitals from about March 1863 and furloughed at Danville, VA on 15 May. He was listed as absent without leave afterward with no further record.
