His service from his Compiled Service Records (via the Historical Data Systems database), as D.H. Locast, and the Roll 1 for Company I, which has him as Harrison Lucas, and says only that he was killed in battle in Maryland.
His sister Martha Ann Meetz applied to be a resident of the South Carolina Confederate Home in Columbia in 1936 based on his service.
