He's not found in Bates' History of the Pennsylvania Volunteers, the Pennsylvania Adjutant-General's Veterans' Card File, or Parker's History of the 51st regiment of P.V. and V.V.. His name is among those listed as killed on the south side of the regiment's monument near the Burnside Bridge on the battlefield (as having been previously omitted from the north face).
