On the Campaign

He was wounded in action at Fox's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was mortally wounded at Spotsylvania, VA on 12 May 1864 and died of wounds in Germantown, Philadelphia, PA on 18 June 1864.
