Before Antietam
A 19 year old sailor in Philadelphia, he enlisted there and mustered into service as a Private in Company A, 90th Pennsylvania Infantry on 30 December 1861. He was transferred to Company H, date not given.
On the Campaign
He was wounded by gunshot in Maryland in September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was admitted to US Army General Hospital #1 in Frederick, MD on 13 September 1862, transferred to GH#5 on 20 September, and on to Philadelphia on 22 September 1862. He's listed as "not accounted for" at the Company muster-out in 1865.
