William O'Keefe

Before Antietam

Age 22, he enlisted and mustered into service as a Private in Company A, 90th Pennsylvania Infantry on 17 September 1861 in Philadelphia.

On the Campaign

He was wounded by a gunshot in Maryland in September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was admitted to a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD on 14 September and sent on to Baltimore on 24 September. He was captured in action on 19 August 1864 and a prisoner to 28 February 1865. He was discharged on 14 April 1865.
