Before Sharpsburg
A 27 year old farmer in Conwayboro, he enlisted there on 7 August 1861 as Private, Company F, First South Carolina Infantry.
On the Campaign
He was killed in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

His service from Salley,1 the Roll,2 and his Compiled Service Records, online from fold3. Personal details from family genealogists and the US Census of 1860. His memorial is on Findagrave; although possible, there's no direct evidence that he's buried in Hagerstown.
He was one of 3 brothers in Company F. Sergeant Richard Avant Lawrimore (b. 1839) was killed at 2nd Mansassas on 29 August 1862. Lieutenant William W. Lawrimore (b. 1829) survived the war but died relatively young at 38 in 1867.
