He was treated at a US Army hospital in Frederick, MD but died there, date not given.

His service from Jordan1 via the Historical Data Systems database. The Memorial History of the John Bowie Strange Camp, United Confederate Veterans (1920) says he was killed outright at "Boonsboro". Wound, hospital, and death details from the Patient List,2 which also has him as George Wolfe.
