On the Campaign

He was severely wounded in the hand in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was wounded again, at Gettysburg, PA in July 1863. He was surrendered with his Company at Appomattox Court House, VA on 9 April 1865.
