On the Campaign

He was wounded in action in Maryland; on Maryland Heights on 13 September or at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was ill in General Hospital #13 in Richmond, VA by 13 October and died there of typhoid fever on 3 December 1862.
