Before Sharpsburg
A 22 year old farm worker at Bushy Creek in the Anderson District, he enlisted as a Private in Company H, 7th South Carolina Infantry on 1 July 1862.
On the Campaign
He was killed in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
