Before Sharpsburg
A married 24 year old farmer in Chulafinnee, AL, he enrolled at Arbacoochee on 24 April 1862 and was elected Jr. 2nd Lieutenant of Company I, 44th Alabama Infantry on 1 May. He was sick and not with his Company at 2nd Manassas on 30 August 1862.
On the Campaign
He was killed in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
