Before Sharpsburg
In 1860 he was a married 23 year old farmer at Rockdale in Randolph County, AL, he enrolled at Arbacoochee, AL on 24 April 1862 and was elected Jr. 2nd Lieutenant of Company I, 44th Alabama Infantry on 1 May. He was sick and not with his Company at 2nd Manassas on 30 August 1862.
On the Campaign
He was killed in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
