His service from his Compiled Service Records (CSRs) at the US National Archives via fold3 and the State of Alabama.1 His death also on a casualty list for Rodes' Brigade in the Montgomery Weekly Advertiser of 8 October 1862, as W.J. Nedham. He's also seen as James W. Needham.
