He was wounded in action near Turner's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was furloughed home to Aberfoil, AL on 8 October 1862 and was there to at least December. On 27 March 1863 he was detailed to a CSA shoe shop in Columbus, GA and was there to at least January 1865.
