Before Sharpsburg

On the Campaign
He was wounded by a gunshot to his ankle in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862 and captured there.
The rest of the War
He was admitted to a US Army General Hospital #4 in Frederick, MD on 12 October 1862 and transferred to GH#7 there on 17 October with no further record.
