On the Campaign

He was wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was slightly wounded at Chancellorsville, VA on 2 or 3 May 1863. He was admitted to a Richmond, VA hospital on 16 May 1864 for a gunshot wound and was furloughed for 30 days on 9 June. He was surrendered and paroled at Appomattox Court House on 9 April 1865.
