He was in action at Turner's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September and at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was admitted to a hospital in Richmond, VA on 29 October and was furloughed for 30 days on 9 November. He died, place and cause not given, on 28 November 1862.
