On the Campaign
He was in action at Turner's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was with his Company through the war until he was captured in action at the Crater near Petersburg, VA on 30 July 1864. He was held briefly at Point Lookout, MD from 5 to 8 August, then transferred to Elmira, NY. He was released on 14 June 1865.
