Before Antietam
A 25 year old farmer in Union, CT, he enlisted as a Private in Company I, 16th Connecticut Infantry on 19 July 1862.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action at Antietam on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was discharged for disability on 29 April 1863.
After the War
A farmer there, he died in Eastford, Windham County, CT of consumption (tuberculosis) in March 1866.
