On the Campaign

He slightly wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was captured, probably in a Federal cavalry raid in May 1863 and paroled, date and place not given. He was mortally wounded in the Wilderness, VA on 5 May 1864 and died of wounds on 25 May.
