Before Sharpsburg

In 1860 he was an 15 year old farm boy on his parent's farm near Zebulon in Pike County, GA. He enlisted as a Private in Company A, 13th Georgia Infantry on 19 May 1862 in Savannah, GA.

On the Campaign

He was slightly wounded by a gunshot in the arm in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was in a hospital in Charlottesville, VA by 23 September, furloughed on the 27th, and back on duty on 18 November 1862. He was killed at Winchester, VA on 13 June 1863. His father Reuben Y Williamson applied for his final pay of $157.79 in March 1864.
