On the Campaign

He was captured at Williamsport, MD on 20 September (or at Cacapon Bridge, VA) on 4 October) 1862.

The rest of the War

He was sent to Camp Chase, OH on 9 October and transferred to Cairo, IL for exchange on 13 October 1862, then listed as sick. He was on furlough from 26 December 1862 to 7 May 1863. He was captured again, on 19 September 1864 at Winchester, VA, and was a prisoner at Point Lookout, MD until 29 April 1865, after taking an oath of allegiance.
