His service from his Compiled Military Service Records,1 online from fold3. His Sharpsburg death also from a casualty list in the New Orleans Times-Picayune of 29 October 1862. His memorial is on Findagrave; he may have been reinterred from the battlefield to Hagerstown after the war, but he's not specifically listed by name among those recovered.
