Before Sharpsburg
In 1860 he was a 27 year old brick mason living on the W.B. Garner farm at Senatobia in DeSoto County, MS. He enlisted on 20 April 1861 at Sardis, MS and mustered as a Private in Company F, 12th Mississippi Infantry on 8 May 1861 in Corinth, MS.
On the Campaign
He was listed as missing in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862 with no later record, and was probably killed there.
