On the Campaign
He was wounded by a gunshot in action at Antietam on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was admitted to US Army General Hospital #1 in Frederick, MD and sent on to Washington, DC on 22 September. He was killed at Gettysburg, PA on 3 July 1863.
