He was wounded by a gunshot in Maryland in September 1862, place and date not given.

The rest of the War

He was admitted to US Army General Hospital #1 in Frederick, MD on 14 September and transferred to Baltimore on the 24th. He was listed as a deserter on 10 December 1862.
