On the Campaign

He was wounded by a gunshot, probably in action at Crampton’s Gap on South Mountain on 14 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was admitted to the US Army General Hospital at Camp B in Frederick, MD on 16 November and discharged there for disability on 5 February 1863.
