Before Sharpsburg

A married 26 year old farmer at Six Mile in Bibb County, AL, he enlisted there on 14 March 1862 and mustered as a Private in Company F, 44th Alabama Infantry.

On the Campaign

He was slightly wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was back on duty by November 1862 and was wounded again, at Chickamauga, GA on 19 September 1863. He had pneumonia in May 1864 and was in a hospital in Charlottesville, VA then on 60 day furlough. He was back with his company by August 1864 and to at least November 1864, the latest record in his military file.

After the War

In 1870 he was a farmer at Panola, MS.
