Transferred to Company A on June 12, 1863. He re-enlisted as a veteran on February 14, 1864. Mustered in as second lieutenant on July 18, 1864. Dismissed on January 18, 1865. Commissioned second lieutenant on July 18, 1864, with rank from same date, vice J. M. Smart, killed in action.
