Enlisted at Yorktown, Va., to serve three years, and mustered in as private, Company E, on May 8, 1862.
On the Campaign
Wounded in action, slightly, hand, on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
Transferred to Company A on June 12, 1863. He re-enlisted as a veteran on December 21, 1863. He deserted on the expiration of veteran furlough, on January 29, 1864.
