Before Sharpsburg

An unmarried 18 year old farmer from Bowdon, GA, he enlisted on 24 April 1862 at Eastville, AL and mustered as a Private in Company E of the 13th Alabama Infantry.

On the Campaign

He was with his company at Turner's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September but was killed in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

His father Shadric [sic] filed for his final pay in September 1863.
